Turnchapel Wharf tenant SeaRegs, one of the UK’s leading commercial and leisure maritime training companies, has been acquired by Ryan Tozer, Managing Director of iPowerboat in Scotland. The sale was managed by First Peninsula Marine.

Founded in 2010 by Simon and Vicky Jinks, SeaRegs has grown into a nationally respected training provider, delivering STCW, MCA SQA and RYA courses, as well as marine apprenticeships for more than 2,800 students each year. The company achieved an Ofsted “Outstanding” rating at its first inspection and is well known for its hands-on, industry-focused approach.

Ryan Tozer, who established iPowerboat in 2011, said:

“SeaRegs has always been a company I admired. It’s a natural fit for us, and I’m excited to build on what Simon and Vicky have achieved while developing new opportunities for the next generation of mariners.”

Under Tozer Holdings Limited, both SeaRegs and iPowerboat will continue to operate independently, with plans to share expertise and expand training opportunities across Plymouth and Scotland.

“It’s been fantastic to witness Simon and Vicky grow SeaRegs Training into one of the most respected names in the maritime training industry. We wish them every success in their next ventures, and we’re delighted to welcome Ryan Tozer to the Turnchapel Wharf community. We look forward to seeing SeaRegs continue to thrive under his leadership.” - Ryan Bonney

Simon and Vicky Jinks will assist during the handover before focusing on their new venture, MarineComply Ltd, providing regulatory safety management and auditing services.
